“My family has been in the retail business since I was a little girl. I have memories of helping my mom and dad sell books and stationary in trade fairs. Tasks like stock checking and managing a store are always with me.
I chose to study political science at uni because I wanted to do a job that requires language and communication but unfortunately it didn’t work out – I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.
I found myself back to my family roots and I’ve been working in the retail business for the past 6 years of my career. Now I’m a Brand Key Account Manager, assisting and nurturing the retail brands that sell their product online on Shopee.
The marketing insights and technological skills I’ve learned from my day job really support my passion project which is my own Shabu restaurant called Papa Shabu!”
